St. Christopher's Village

hotel London online: London hotel
Category: Hostel - 161-165 Borough High Street
If you’re looking for a great place to stay in London, central to everything you must see, with friendly staff, a clean and safe environment then St. Christopher’s Village is the only option. We are located in the centre of the city, close to everything a backpacker, tourist, or group could want from London.

WE NOW HAVE A BRAND NEW MASSIVE CHILL OUT ROOM, with Big Screen TV, playstation, relaxing couches and beanbags. We also have a Free tour of central London each Friday afternoon.

The hostel is situated off the Thames River in the Historic Southwark area of London. It was the literary backdrop to the writings of Charles Dickens, used as a location for the filming of movies such as Snatch, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Bridget Jones’ Diary and the next Harry Potter Movie, and contains some of the best history, art and culture in London. A short walk up the south bank of the Thames takes you through historic Borough market, past the London Dungeon, St. Paul’s Cathedral, Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre (an authentic Shakespearian period theatre), Tate Modern Gallery, and the Millennium Bridge. Instead you might want to take a stroll across nearby Tower Bridge to the Tower of London to see the crown jewels, or take quick cruise down the river to see The London Eye, Big Ben and The Parliament Buildings.

Our hostel has so much to offer today’s traveller including quality accommodation (free continental breakfast, multiple washrooms and showers on each floor and fresh linen and bedding provided free of charge), top in-house entertainment (BBQs, karaoke and DJs), security (electronic swipe card access, CCTV, luggage storeroom, in-room lockers and 24 hour reception) and comfort (rooftop sauna and hot tub) at unbelievably low rates.

Once your finished seeing all that London has to offer, meet other guests and enjoy what Rough Guide London 2002 called the “party-animal ambience, fuelled by the neighbouring bar and roof top sauna and hot tub.” Our next-door Belushi’s Bar and Nightclub is a late licensed bar, full of travellers and locals having wild times and partying the night away to hot DJs. If you are looking for a quieter or more intimate stay because of the noise and atmosphere please consider the Orient Espresso, our coffee shop and hostel just down the street.

We are the best hostel network in The United Kingdom, but don’t just take our word for it – this is what has been said about our St. Christopher’s Village Location:

“This 164 bed place is the flagship of an excellent hostel chain that has been making a name for itself over the past few years for its basic but cheap and clean accommodation, friendly service, and all around good times.”

Lonely Planet London 2002

“With the management organising a different entertainment every night (karaoke, sight seeing walks, barbecues, movies and late licensed night club) and two sister establishments up the road (one pub, one internet cafe) all offering discounts on food and drink, hostellers have a ready-made social life within 100 yards.”

28 Jun 2003 London’s Daily Telegraph.
